Acupuncture is safe during pregnancy and is especially effective for relief of morning sickness, nausea and vomiting, pain and sleep disorders. Acupuncture is natural and has very minimal side effects if any.
Labour induction acupuncture involves 2-4 sessions starting around 37 weeks. We tailor the treatment to you as an individual, but usually involves massage and acupuncture. The acupuncture is performed at specific points known to induce labour by releasing oxytocin and other hormones that stimulate uterine contractions and bring on labour. The massage is for muscle relaxation and to have your muscles relaxed and ready. Your hips and lower back will go through very dramatic changes as the baby draws down the birth canal. Your Sacral Illiac Joint will expand as will your pubic symphysis. your lower back and hips muscles can get very tight due to the extra weight you have to carry around and this can feel amazing to get massaged toward the end of pregnancy.
Through clinical experience and further research I have confidence and would love to assist you in your journey to Motherhood.
After all bringing a new human in to this world is such an amazing part of life I want to help you share this amazing experience if I can.
